U2 - No Line On The Horizon Digipak

U2's no line on the horizon is a bit different to most digipaks because it has two different booklets that are attached to the digi-pak on each side and that open and in the middle of the digi-pak is where the CD is. the front cover is an image to link with the title of no line of the horizon showing an image of a horizon

U2 - Beautiful Day Existing Video

The Real Video for Beautiful Day by U2

U2 - Beautiful Day Lyrics

The heart is a bloom, shoots up through stony ground
But there's no room, no space to rent in this town
You're out of luck and the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck and you're not movin' anywhere
You thought you’d found a friend to take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand in return for grace

It's a beautiful day,
The sky falls and you feel like
It's a beautiful day,
Don’t let it get away

You’re on the road but you’ve got no destination
You’re in the mud, in the maze of her imagination
You love this town even if that doesn’t ring true
You’ve been all over and it’s been all over you

It's a beautiful day,
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day,

Touch me, take me to that other place
Teach me love, I know I’m not a hopeless case

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
See the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colours came out

It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
A beautiful day

Touch me, take me to that other place
Reach me, I know I'm not a hopeless case

What you don’t have you don’t need it now
What you don’t know you can feel it somehow
What you don’t have you don’t need it now
Don’t need it now
It was a beautiful day

Digi-Pak Analysis

Analysis of AC/DC Let There Be Rock Digi-Pak

AC/DCs digipak is like most 4 panel digipak except the fact that even though a lot of digpaks have this, this one has a little booklet that comes with the CD as well that includes information about the band; what the band was up to at that time, recording the songs and going on tour. The front cover is a picture of AC/DC on stage "Rocking Out" with Angus at the front of the stage mid-way in a solo with the rest of the band behind him and the reason they used this for a front cover is that AC/DC are famous for the Stage shows and also Angus is famous for his crazy solos half way through a song which this albums includes. the inner first panel is a front on picture of the band with Bon Scott in the middle on stage again really  showing AC/DCs Raw Power, the disc is the same picture as the front cover and the back cover is a picture of Angus playing guitar because one of AC/DCs most famous trademarks is Angus's famous guitar sound. the front cover includes the title of the album (let There Be Rock) and also the name of the band, the two inner covers include a booklet with information about the album and the disc itself with information of the record companies and release date and the back cover includes the titles of the song in order, producers, publishing company, website for the band, record producers as well as pictures, year date of release and a barcode at the bottom.

Music Video Treatment - U2 - Beautiful Day

Music Video Treatment - U2 - Beautiful Day - First Draft

The song is all about looking at the bright side of life and what good comes from it. The start of the video will start with a shot of the sun rising in the sky sped up. The shot then changes to the band and the camera is focused on the lead singer and stays focused on him whilst he is singing in till the band kicks in with the chorus and shot changes to a group shot of the band on a field with sunny and clear skies to symbolise it being a beautiful day during the chorus the shots flip back and forth between each band member consisting of low and eye levels angles of the band.

With the start of the next verse it goes to a shot of a man walking down a dark road and comes up to a crossroads but he doesn't know which way to go to symbolise that he is  at a crossroads in his life and that he doesn't know where his life is going. Then the chorus kicks in again and we switch back to the band playing on the field again, again flipping between each band member again with low and eye level angles of the band.

Between the chorus and next verse we go to a shot of the man sitting on a bench all by himself. With the next verse we got a shot of the man standing on a bridge watching all of the cars drive past (sped up) to symbolise his life rushing right past his face and then a slowed down shot of a bird flying in the sky to link with the lyrics "see the bird with a leaf in her mouth." so that the lyrics link with the visuals of the video.

Just before the start of the last chorus the camera moves up high above the band showing a wide shot of the band on the field and when the chorus kicks back in we go back to a shot of the band "Rocking Out" in till that last moments of the song where the pace dramatically slows down and we go to a shot of the bands instruments without the band there and then to a shot of the band walking away in slow motion in till the song finishes.

The props involved in the video will be mostly the instruments of the band: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums/Drum Sticks, Mic Stand and Mic, Clothing for the band members (in style of the genre). The settings of the video will be the school field for the band moments of the video, the bridge/car moment will be from Blackdog bridge outside of town, the other shots of the video will be shot at various points around and outside of town. The actors involved will be Myself as the Lead singer/Walking man, Guitarist will be Jacob, Bassist will be James(?), Drummer will be(?).

Media Theorys. Andrew Goodwin theory of music video says that each genre has its own musical style and iconography, Close-ups and in my video i think i have met these standards.

I have decided to make this video for this song because I feel that this type of Music video is very much related to the type of music video that a real band would make for this genre. I feel that this music video will very much like something that U2 would make and this video is very similar to the videos that U2 have made over the years.
